Product Review: Laneige Moisturizer
Up until a month ago I used a moisturizer by First Aid Beauty. I had been using it for about 3 years, but my skin needed a change. The moisturizer was no longer absorbing into my skin same way and was leaving me feeling very oily. I decided to go into Sephora on the hunt for a new moisturizer. I talked to one of the employees and she recommended the Laneige Fresh Calming Mousse Moisturizer . It is $29 and has a super light and fluffy consistency. The brand Laneige is made for sensitive skin (something I am very familiar with).
After using it for a little over a month, I have used it enough to know how I feel about it — I love it. The main thing I was worried about was that it would irritate my skin and make me break out. Lucky this did not happen at all. My skin gets a little bit red when I first put it on, but I think that is from rubbing it into my face. When I first apply it, it feels really wet, but within a few minutes all the moisturizer is absorbed and my skin does not feel oily. This makes it the prefect moisturizer for in the morning because I am able to put makeup on soon after I apply it. I have found that some moisturizers feel oily in my skin and my makeup does not sit well, but this is not the case for this.
One thing that I will say about this product is that a little goes a long way. Online it says to use 1-2 pumps for your face and neck but about 1/2 a pump is enough to do the job.
Overall I think that this moisturizer is worth trying if you are looking for a light weight moisturizer. I have oily skin so it moisturized my skin just the right amount but I don’t know if this would be a super great moisturizer for very dry skin. Even though I use this for my main moisturizer I will still use a hydrating face mask every once in a while when my face feels drier than normal.
