Restaurant Review: B&B Butchers

Restaurant Review: B&B Butchers

Recently my mom and I went to Ft Worth Texas to visit Texas Christian University (TCU). After our visit we met up with a friend for lunch at a new and fast growing area a couple miles away from TCU. We went to a steakhouse called B&B Butchers.

From the moment we walked in everyone was so nice to us. We were greeted and seated at our table. Our waitress’s name was Lety and she is by far the best waitress I have ever had. She was making conversation with us and asked us why my mom and I were in Fort Worth. When we told her we came to visit TCU she got all excited and asked what she could do to get me there because according to her, Fort Worth is the best place on earth. Lety also went and found some purple flowers for our table (one of TCU's colors) Our friend who we went with was a regular there and Lety knew exactly what she would want to drink.

I have celiac (so I can’t eat gluten) and Lety knew everything on the menu that I could eat and what they could make gluten free. Everything looked so good but my friend and I both ended up ordering the Truffle burger. It is a large burger with truffle aioli, truffle butter  and 3 onion jam (I got mine without the bun). It also came with potato wedges. My mom ordered the mac and cheese with truffle butter on top (which is actually a side dish but enough for 2 people). We also ordered a side of the Garlic Whipped Mashed Potatoes. All the food we ordered was amazing. I am not typically an onion person but the onions on the truffle burger were to die for. I could not try my mom’s mac and cheese but it smelled amazing.

After we were done eating, Lety surprised me by bringing out a special dessert for me. It was berries with a white chocolate drizzle and on the plate she had written “Rah Rah TCU” in milk chocolate. I thought this was the cutest thing in the whole world and it was so personal. After I finished the desert we paid for our food and left B&B Butchers.

I would 100% recommend B&B Butchers to everyone. The service and food was amazing. It is not a cheap restaurant but it definitely worth the price. My mom and I agreed that next time we are in Fort Worth we will be going back to B&B Butchers.
